The Security Service of Ukraine seized property of Russian general and official Valery Kapashin in the Poltava Region with a total value of more than 1 billion hryvnias (more than 25 million dollars).

He is a native of the Poltava region of Ukraine. The property in question was registered to his daughter and son-in-law, who, it is said, left for Russia on the eve of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine and received Russian citizenship.
According to the SBU, we are talking about more than 20 commercial objects, including restaurants and hotels, as well as office and shopping and entertainment centers, 17 land plots and residential real estate with a total area of more than 3 thousand square meters.
“During the searches, law enforcement officers found Russian-style military uniforms, Soviet symbols, propaganda literature and awards from the Kremlin,” the message says. Kapashin is a knight of a number of Soviet and Russian orders, including “For Merit to the Fatherland” III and IV degrees.
The general is being investigated for articles on interaction with the aggressor state, which Ukraine considers to be Russia, and on the financing of terrorism – this article is related to Kapashin’s business projects in the Donbass areas occupied by Russian troops.
