Correspondent of the state TV channel “Russia 24” Borys Maksudov died of wounds received as a result of a drone attack in the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine. This was reported by TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov.

The day before, the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had hit a group of Russian journalists with fragmentation ammunition from a drone, who were “preparing material about the shelling by the Ukrainian army of populated areas in the Zaporozhye region, part of which is occupied by Russia.

Maksudov, as reported by the Ministry of Defense, received shrapnel wounds and “was promptly evacuated to a medical facility.” It was claimed that there was no threat to his life.

From 2013 to 2018, Boris Maksudov was the head of the Sochi office of the TV Center television company. In the post about Maksudov’s death, published in Solovyov’s Telegram channel, it is said that he worked “in the SVO zone” (as the Russian authorities call the war in Ukraine) from the first days of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukrainian territory.
