“Economichna Pravda” announces the conference “Reconstruction of Ukraine: why it should not be postponed until victory.” During the discussion, journalists together with government officials and representatives of international financial structures will discuss urgent challenges in the reconstruction of the country.

The conversation will touch on issues of the priority of reconstruction in Ukraine in the long term, who should be involved in reconstruction, where to find appropriate financing and a number of other important issues.

You can buy tickets via the link. The event will take place on Monday, April 22, 2024. Start at 16:00.

More about the event:

Reconstruction of the country is not only about what should be done after victory. Even now, the country needs support for projects to restore energy, housing, critical and social infrastructure, basic services for the most vulnerable population, and demining.

Ukraine’s needs for reconstruction and recovery are estimated by the World Bank at an unprecedented 485 billion dollars. It is obvious that the need for financing currently significantly exceeds the capacity of available sources for Ukraine.

Accordingly, it is necessary to set priorities carefully and strategically – what is the priority for Ukraine in the long term? Who should be involved in recovery – the state, business or communities? Who should make key decisions on reconstruction? How to make this process as transparent and understandable as possible?
