One of them is a violation of US campaign finance laws. Bankman-Fried allegedly made donations on behalf of other people to circumvent the annual limit of $25,000. At the same time, the ex-head of FTX did not admit his guilt.
According to CoinDesk, Bankman-Fried has given funds to one out of every three sitting members of the US Congress.
In 2020, Bankman-Fried allocated $5.22 million to Joe Biden’s election campaign fund, becoming one of the ego’s largest sponsors.
