The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, signed the law “On Amendments to Subsection 8 of Section X X of the Tax Code on the Prohibition of Gambling Business Staying on the Simplified Taxation System.” This is reported on the page of the relevant bill No. 8079 on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

The law cancels the norm adopted in mid-April last year, which allowed the gambling business to switch to a simplified taxation system, paying only 2% of the single tax.
He returns the ban on staying on the simplified system of taxation to economic entities engaged in the organization and conduct of gambling, lotteries (except for the distribution of lotteries), pairs (bookmaker pairs, totalizer pairs).
The authors of the bill are Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a member of the financial committee, and Danyil Hetmantsev, the chairman of the committee.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danyil Hetmantsev, stated that due to the introduction of tax benefits for the gambling business at the beginning of the Russian aggression, the state lost billions of hryvnias.
