During the year of the Great War, France spent almost half a billion euros on the reception of Ukrainians

France has already spent about 500 million euros on the reception and support of Ukrainians who ended up there because of the war.
As Le Figaro reports, such figures were announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The agency noted that Russia’s attack on Ukraine provoked Europe’s largest wave of refugees since World War II.
For the period from March 10, 2022 to January 30, 2023, more than 100,000 Ukrainians were accepted in France, of which 80% were women.
The costs of reception and support of these people amount to 490 million euros, the lion’s share of the costs is monthly social assistance (260 million), compensations to hotels and carriers, or payment for accommodation in sanatoriums makes up the rest of the amount.
Almost 30,000 Ukrainians were settled in their houses and apartments by caring Frenchmen.
The agency did not specify how many of these 100,000 Ukrainians still remain in France, and how many returned home after the stabilization of the front line. As of the end of 22 year in France were registered almost 66 thousand displaced Ukrainians.
