Thus, the court left without consideration the lawsuits of the companies JP Morgan and Pala Assets against PrivatBank. According to the bank, the beneficiary of Pala Assets is a citizen of the Russian Federation.
The companies joined the legal process initiated by Shakoor Capital, but the court, at the request of PrivatBank, stopped considering their claims to invalidate the share purchase agreement concluded in the process of nationalization between PrivatBank and UK SPV in December 2016.
In addition to JP Morgan Securities and Pala Assets, UBS AG and the Ukrainian FOP Sazonov D.V. later joined Shakoor Capital’s lawsuit. The court also refused the latter to consider a request to demand from the Bank of England documents related to the nationalization of PrivatBank.
It is noted that at the next court session on March 8, the court will consider PrivatBank’s request to dismiss the lawsuit against UBS AG due to the latter’s failure to fulfill the procedural obligation established by the court.
