Exchange rates on August 17: the dollar continues to grow

On Thursday, August 17, the hryvnia weakened again against the dollar and the euro both on the “black market” and in bank cash registers.
This is stated in the data minfin.com.ua, finance.ua.
At 11:15, the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia on the “black market” continued to strengthen and amounted to 37.63 – 37.88 hryvnias against quotations of 37.54 – 37.68 on Wednesday.
At the same time, the “black” rate of the euro also increased, and amounted to UAH 41.25 – 41.64 against the rate of UAH 41.14 – 41.41 per euro on Wednesday.
The average currency exchange rates at bank counters were as follows:
- US dollar – UAH 37.275 – UAH 37.95 (exchange rate on August 16 – UAH 37.1 – UAH 37.75);
- Euro – 40.8 – 41.6 UAH (rate on August 16 – 40.8 – 41.75 UAH).
In terms of banks, the cash rates are as follows:
- Privatbank – UAH 37.2 – 37.8;
- Oschadbank – UAH 37.2 – UAH 37.99;
- Ukreximbank – UAH 37.3 – 38.1;
- Raiffeisen – UAH 37.07 – UAH 37.97.
As for non-cash payments, the exchange rate when paying by card in banks in Privatbank is UAH 37.45 per dollar, in Oschada – UAH 37.12, in Universal Bank (monobank) – UAH 37.44.
