The German Ministry of Defense announced a new, “winter” package of military aid to Ukraine for a total of about 1 billion euros.
In particular, it will include air defense equipment, including the Patriot and IRIS-T systems, ten Leopard 1A5 tanks, three Cheetah self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, and fifteen armored vehicles.
Exact delivery dates are not mentioned. The head of the German Defense Ministry, Boris Pistorius, commenting on the decision to allocate aid, said that it would arrive in Ukraine “in the next few weeks.”
Germany announced a new package on the eve of the 16th meeting of Ukraine’s allies in the “Ramstein” format, which will be held in Brussels on Wednesday, October 11.
On Tuesday, pro-war Telegram channels, both Russian and Ukrainian, reported about the transition of the Russian army “to active offensive actions on the entire eastern front” – in particular, in the area of Avdeevka near Donetsk.
Vitaly Barabash, the head of the Avdeev city military administration, wrote about “massive shelling from tanks, barrel artillery and castles.” In the summary of the Ukrainian General Staff, it is said that the Ukrainian military repelled the attacks.
