Google is developing a competitor to ChatGPT – Evening News

During a teleconference with investors, Pychai shared how the company plans to “uncover the incredible opportunities that AI opens up.” In his words, technology is “reaching a tipping point.”

The head of the corporation also stated that it was Google’s early research that helped create “the generative applications of artificial intelligence that you are beginning to see today.”

According to Pychaya, the company plans to introduce many features over the next few months, which it has been preparing for since “the beginning of last year.” The first model with which users will be able to interact is LaMDA. The company first talked about this algorithm in May 2021.

Pychai noted that Google is studying AI with a “deep sense of responsibility.” The company will “carefully” release new functions and gradually expand the scope of laboratory research, he added.

Google also announced an event devoted to search and AI. It will take place on February 8, 2023 at 12:30 CET.

During the 40-minute presentation, the company plans to explain how it uses AI to rethink search. It is not known whether the developers will show the integration of LaMDA into the Search service.

Earlier, the mass media reported that the company launched testing of OpenAI’s ChatGPT competitor and a new search page.

In January, Google management turned to the founders of the company, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, “for advice” on the development of artificial intelligence technologies.

In the same month, the media reported on Microsoft’s plans to add ChatGPT to the Bing search engine.
