“Holos” revealed “abnormal” votes in the elections in the regions

“Abnormal” votes and possible falsifications were revealed in several regions where elections were held in September. This was reported by Roman Udot, an activist of the “Holos” association.

To identify “anomalous” votes, experts used the Kisling-Shpilkin mathematical model, which analyzes the ratio of votes cast by candidates or parties depending on the turnout. Such a method makes it possible to determine the scale of possible falsifications in the elections – in particular, to estimate the abnormal turnout that played into the hands of the candidate for power.

The largest scale of “anomalous” votes was revealed in the elections of heads of the Kemerovo region, Yakutia, Omsk, Voronezh and Oryol regions.

The analysis of anomalous turnout was carried out before: for example, during the voting on amendments to the Constitution, experts found out that with a disproportionate increase in the turnout, the number of votes “for” the amendment increased sharply.

  • In more than 80 regions of Russia, from September 8 to 10, elections were held for heads of subjects, deputies of regional parliaments and city councils. In most cases, the authorities decided to hold the vote for three days, which caused dissatisfaction among political parties. In particular, the CPRF called on supporters to vote only on the last day.
  • In addition, the so-called “elections” were held in the occupied territories of Ukraine, captured by Russia during the current invasion: in parts of the Zaporozhye, Kherson, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions.
