A resident of Cheboksary turned to the police because of a neighbor’s Wi-Fi network called “Glory to Ukraine”. This is reported by the Telegram channel “Angry Chuvashia”.
According to the Telegram channel, a 43-year-old local resident complained about an “enemy slogan.” The police are looking for who owns this network.
Earlier, similar cases were reported in Moscow and Tambov. The results of their inspection were not reported. The use of a fragment of the Ukrainian patriotic greeting “de jure is not a violation, does not fall under the scope of demonstration and propaganda of symbols of extremist organizations and other information about extremist organizations,” commented the Tambov branch of the Association of Lawyers of Russia at the time.
According to Roskomnadzor statistics, during six months of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russians wrote almost 145 thousand denunciations. A significant part of them concerned information about the actions of the Russian military in Ukraine, which informers called “fakes”. The Russian authorities consider the publication of any information about the war in Ukraine, different from the version of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, to be a fake.
