More than 1,000 students will be sent this summer to participate in the reconstruction of occupied Mariupol. This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia for Social Policy Tatyana Golykova. More than 2.5 thousand students will go on the railways of the Baikal-Amur highway.

In total, according to Golikova, more than 200 thousand people will join the study groups this year. The vice-premier noted that with the help of Russian student groups, the “Saur-Mohyla” memorial complex in the so-called “DNR” has already been restored, and in the occupied Luhansk region, Russian students participate in medical and humanitarian missions.

According to Golikova, this year more than 35 thousand students across the country will study professional training programs in labor specialties for free, which will give them the opportunity to work at the facilities of Rosatom, Gazprom, Russian Railways and many other large companies.

  • Since 2018, Tatyana Golykova has been the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government for Social Policy. After Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine, it is under the sanctions of Ukraine, the European Union, the USA, Switzerland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand
