In Ryazan, a criminal case was initiated against animal rights activist Nikita Chernychkin under the article on the rehabilitation of Nazism. This is reported by “Caution, News”.
According to the investigation, in October, 35-year-old Chernichkin wrote an insulting comment about a Russian soldier who died in Gostomel. According to the results of the examination conducted by the Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for countering extremism, Chernychkin was accused of “insulting the memory of the defender of the Fatherland” on the Internet.
Chernichkin helps homeless animals: he cares for and rehabilitates injured dogs. After the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he took an anti-war stance and actively commented on what was happening.
Now the animal defender faces up to five years in prison. According to “Ostrozhno, novosti”, he is now under a restraining order.
