In St. Petersburg, the police interrupted the concert of Prophet Sanboy

In St. Petersburg, the police prevented a concert by underground performer and video blogger Gennady Chernetsov, better known as Prophet Sanboy.

As “Fontanka” wrote with reference to the broadcast of the event on March 3, those who came to the concert at the ACTION club were asked to take their things from the wardrobe and go outside. The musician himself was brought in for a “conversation”.

The director of the ACTION club, Lev Torsky, confirmed in an interview with “Fontanka” that the performance was interrupted. According to him, the policemen explained their visit to the crowd gathered in front of the club. As if the queue at the establishment was obstructing the passage of traffic.

“I am not involved in politics. I sang love songs,” Chernetsov says in a recording posted by the “Ostrozhno, Novosti” Telegram channel. The blogger goes to the exit accompanied by the police, and his fans chant: “Freedom to Sanbo!”. As noted, the musician performed an anniversary concert.

According to the human rights project “OVD-Info”, Prophet Sanboy is charged with an article about the organization of mass simultaneous stay or movement of citizens in public places, which caused a violation of public order. He was taken to police department No. 28. A lawyer from “OVD-Info” visited the blogger.
