Roskomnadzor has blocked the website of the international dictionary of gestures Spread The Sign.
The reasons for the blocking are unknown, however, as noted by the RBC edition, the dictionary’s website posted a well-known shot with the ex-editor of the First Channel, Marina Ovsyannikova, who interrupted the live broadcast of the Vremya program, stood behind the presenter with an anti-war poster and shouted “No war! “.
Later, Ovsyannikova left Russia, and a Russian court sentenced her in absentia to eight and a half years in prison on charges of spreading fakes about the Russian army.
Also, on the main page of the Spread The Sign website, there is a banner in the form of the Ukrainian flag with the inscription “Stop the war”.
It is assumed that all this could become the reason for the attention of Roskomnadzor.
- The Spread The Sign dictionary was created in 2006 by the Swedish non-profit association European Sign Language Center. Now it has recorded more than 400 thousand gestures in 44 languages of the world, including Russian.
