A number of independent Russian mass media, forced to move their activities outside of Russia, on the second anniversary of the beginning of the full-scale Russian military invasion of Ukraine, launched the “Let’s Go” project aimed at supporting victims of the war. This is a joint initiative of “Support Services”, “Meduza” and “Rain”. All three are recognized as undesirable organizations in Russia.

The project will be launched on Saturday, February 24, and will work “while Russian missiles are flying into Ukraine,” say the organizers.

The goal of the project is to collect as many regular donations as possible to ensure a constant flow of aid to the people of Ukraine affected by the war. It is noted that the collected funds will be transferred to helping organizations in Ukraine, as well as to emergency assistance for victims of Russian aggression.

Reports on the distribution of donations will be published on the project website. The authors of the initiative note that donations will be able to help orphans, residents of the frontline territories, those who stayed at home, as well as animals that were injured and lost their owners.

The founders of the project warned that they would help the residents of Ukraine through “Davayte” only those who are outside of Russia. “Despite the fact that we collect money for peaceful Ukrainians, in Russia such a donation can become a reason for a criminal case, including under particularly serious articles,” the journalists note.
