More than 35 million for charity, how the chain of pharmacies “Podorozhnyk” helps the country

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the largest chain of pharmacies in Ukraine “Plantain“ transferred more than 35 million hryvnias to charitable assistance.

“Of course, aid for the front is a priority. It is very important and necessary to support the defenders today and in the future. After all, this is our joint struggle for the future.
The main goal of Podorozhnyk as a pharmaceutical company is to save as many Ukrainian lives as possible in this war“, – said Taras Kolyada.
The team started its own project “Carriages for the Armed Forces” from the first days of the war. Since then, more than 70 special vehicles, including carriages and SUVs, have been handed over to the defenders.
Machines help to carry out the wounded from the battlefield, to carry out tasks. In addition, the company implements specific requests and delivers medicines, thermal imaging devices, helmets, stretchers, charging stations, means of communication, bulletproof vests, and more.
In 2023, the network joined global aid projects and began cooperation with charitable foundations. During October 2023, “Bonus armor” from the Serhiy Prytula Charitable Foundation joined MEGASBORO.
Customers transferred UAH 1,790,000 from their bonus accounts for the purchase of the FV-432 armored personnel carrier. The traveler added another 1,000,000 UAH to these funds and the goal of the collection was achieved.
Also, the chain of pharmacies, together with its customers, joined the “Unite” charity initiative from the United24 platform. According to its results, it was possible to collect UAH 1,671,740, and these funds were transferred to humanitarian demining of the country.
“We plan to continue and expand this cooperation by joining various initiatives. After all, large charitable foundations have more necessary opportunities and permits for organizing assistance or purchasing specific items.
We are grateful to the volunteers for their work and the fact that we can help them in this,” said Taras Kolyada.
The chain of pharmacies also pays attention to charity in the humanitarian direction. Cooperates with the “Dobrolife” Charitable Foundation in Zaporizhzhia. People in need receive food and hygiene kits.
As part of their work, Podorozhnyk and Dobrolife repair the city’s playgrounds, help the front and local hospitals.
The company also cooperates with the Charity Fund “Ukraine on Fire” and the National Agency for Strategic Communications. Thanks to joint work, Podorozhnyk staffed mobile hospitals for the Kherson Region, handed over wheelchairs and first-aid kits for defenders to medical institutions in various regions, and more.
Another important direction of assistance that the company is developing is psychological, and it has started cooperation with the NGO “My Circle”. Together with professional psychologists, organizations organize various events for people, including online, on mental health care.
They work on the dissemination of useful information on important topics for maintaining mental health in various life circumstances.

The Podorozhnyk chain of pharmacies also supports Ukrainian sports and science. As part of this assistance, the sportsman and participant of the “Invincible Games” Victor Legkodukh is provided with the necessary drugs for treatment and maintenance of his health.
Podorozhnyk also became a sponsor of the Ukrainian Kickboxing Championship, supports charity football tournaments and a volleyball team.
As part of the project “The First Polar Pharmacy “Traveler”, the network supports polar explorers not only in Antarctica, but also those of them who defend Ukraine and joined the ranks of the Armed Forces. In particular, it provides medical support to the “Combat Penguins” unit.
