News on September 18: Ukraine filed lawsuits at the WTO against three EU members, a new package of sanctions against the Russian Federation
About claims to the WTO. Ukraine submitted demands for holding consultations with Slovakia, Poland and Hungary, which banned the import of Ukrainian agricultural products, within the framework of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
About sanctions. The European Union is preparing the 12th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation. The new restrictions may be presented in the first half of October or they will be announced during the EU-US summit scheduled for next month.
About taxes. Ukraine is considering the possibility of introducing the Polish model of taxation of individual entrepreneurs.
About the register of sanctioned assets. The Digital Transformation Office of the State Property Fund has launched a website that contains a list of all seized assets of Russians and collaborators that have been transferred to the Fund’s management.
About import. In the first half of the year, Ukraine imported $2.5 billion worth of “hidden” goods, which are export control goods, that is, primarily military and dual purpose goods.
