The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, handed over shares in the Prime Print network of printers owned by the Norwegian media company Amedia to Rosmain’s management.

Forbes Russia writes about this with reference to Putin’s decree.

According to the document, Amedia’s shares in “Prime Print” in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk and Voronezh were transferred to Rosmain’s management.

In April 2022Orvez media holding Amedia announced the transfer of control over its Russian business to the editor-in-chief of Novaya Gazeta Dmytro Muratov.

At the time, Amedia said it had a total of six printers in Russia, four of which were wholly owned by the company, and another two it jointly owned with Russian minority shareholders.

The Norwegian company also reported that it wrote down the book value of the business in the amount of NOK 38 million ($4.3 million) to zero.

Funds from the sale of this business “will go to support independent mass media in Russia” in the future, Amedia said.
