One person was killed and at least 11 were injured during the rocket attack on Belgorod. It happened around 2 p.m. local time. This was reported by the Governor of the Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov.
Judging by the video cards that are distributed in social networks, a parking lot on one of the streets of the city came under fire. Most of the victims received shrapnel wounds and contusions.
The shelling of Belgorod continues for the third day in a row. In total, six people died during this time. Several dozen multi-apartment and private houses were destroyed.
The “Russian Volunteer Corps”, the “Liberty of Russia” Legion and the “Siberian Battalion” took responsibility for the attacks on Russia’s border regions.
The Russian side accuses the armed forces of Ukraine of the attacks. On Sunday afternoon, the Ministry of Defense of Russia reported that the Russian army managed to stop the attempt of the Armed Forces to enter the territory of the Belgorod region in the area of the settlement of Kozinka.
There are reports that a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter carrying Ukrainian troops was shot down near Kozinka. About 20 people were on board. According to Russian pro-military bloggers, the Russian military shot down a Mi-24 helicopter near the village of Lukashevka in the Sumy region. Kozinka borders Lukashevka.
