Oppositionist Mylov was arrested in absentia under an article about fakes

The court in Moscow arrested the oppositionist Vladimir Milov in absentia for two months from the moment of his potential detention in Russia on the article about fakes about the Russian government. This is reported by “Mediazona”.
According to the investigation, “fakes” are contained in the video “Putin’s Crimes”, published on the YouTube channel “Navalny Live”. Milov has been in the status of an accused since August 2022. In May 2023, the charges against him were tightened: now the investigation insists that the oppositionist spread “fakes” based on political hatred. For this, the emu faces up to ten years in prison.
At the same time, Mylov was declared wanted in June 2022 – at that time it was not known for which case. In May 2022, the Ministry of Justice declared the opposition figure a foreign agent. Mylov left Russia in 2021 amid persecution by supporters of opposition politician Alexei Navalny.
