Port “Izmail” completed the annual cargo handling plan in four months

At the beginning of May, the Izmail seaport fulfilled the annual plan for cargo handling in the amount of 6.19 million tons. This is a record pace for the entire history of the port’s performance of annual characteristics. This is stated in the message of the Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine.

As noted in the Administration, the largest volumes of cargo handling are demonstrated by the following operators: SE “Izmailsk Seaport” (2.66 million tons), PJSC “Dunaysudoremont” (1.29 million tons) and PJSC “IRP “Dunaysudoservis” (805 thousand tons). ). tons).
The first position in the cargo nomenclature of the Izmail sea port in terms of transshipment volume is bread, the second is agricultural products (oil, meal, sunflower), and the third is katun.
The capacity of the port to export agricultural products has increased thanks to the introduction of berths for cargo operations with grain and vegetable oil by new terminal operators — OJSC “Dunaysudnoservis”, PJSC “Dunaisudoremont”, PJSC “ITSKK”, as well as due to the construction of a new terminal by LLC “SP”.
“The increase in the throughput of the Izmail sea port, which today processes a significant share of Ukrainian exports, was facilitated by the restoration of navigation in the Bystroe estuary, the increase in the water area of the Izmail port, and the dredging of the port’s water area. The Danube cluster is a key logistics alternative, which is a priority for the further development of AMPU SE, – stressed the head of AMPU Yury Lytvyn.
