Putin approved a strategy for the safety of Russian children

Vladimir Putin approved the strategy of comprehensive child safety in Russia for the period until 2030. The corresponding decree of the Russian president is published on the official portal of legal information.
The main goals of the document, among others, are the reduction of child mortality and the level of traumatism of children, as well as “educating a harmoniously developed and socially responsible personality based on the spiritual and moral values of the peoples of Russia.”
It is expected that the goals will be achieved through the development of a safe infrastructure, as well as through the formation of a safe information environment for children, the strengthening of the institution of the family and the support of traditional spiritual and moral values.
A plan of actions within the framework of the strategy will be developed by the end of the year.
- The comprehensive children’s safety strategy was approved against the background of the resumption of the discussion about a woman’s right to abortion and the discussion of a legislative initiative to ban the promotion of childfree – the ideology of conscious refusal of parenthood. What exactly will be considered as propaganda for a childless life is not reported.
