RFE/RL opens Votvot streaming platform

The streaming platform will start operating on April 25 Votvot – a new Russian-language multimedia project of the Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty media corporation. Votvot provides an introduction to mostly unavailable in Russia programs and programs on cultural topics with the participation of authors whose work is limited to distribution or banned because of their criticism of the military invasion of Ukraine.

Votvot characterizes itself as a platform for free expression of opinions for a wide audience, including young people interested in alternatives to traditional news programs. On the platform you can find, among other things, documentaries, theater productions, concerts, children’s educational programs. Votvot, in particular, received exclusive rights to record the rapper’s concert FACE, who cannot return to Russia due to condemnation of the war against Ukraine. Also on the list of proposed platforms are a tourist show and a musical anthology “Land of Dreams with Oleg Skrypka”, dedicated to the music and cultural heritage of Ukraine. Votvot offers the audience documentary films by Andrey Loshak and Vitaly Mansky, including their new works.
