Russia has allowed the export of most types of diesel fuel

The Government of the Russian Federation announced the lifting of the ban on the export of diesel fuel through ports, while restrictions on the export of gasoline remain in force.
This is stated in messages press service of the government of the Russian Federation.
It is noted that the government of the Russian Federation has lifted restrictions on the export of diesel fuel delivered to seaports by pipeline transport, on the condition that the manufacturer supplies at least 50% of the produced diesel fuel to the domestic market.
“Restrictions on fuel exports from Russia, which is the world’s largest marine exporter of fuel, ahead of the United States, have led to an increase in global prices and forced some buyers to look for alternative sources of gasoline and diesel,” the report said.
In general, diesel fuel is the largest Russian export of oil products, which last year amounted to about 35 million tons, of which almost three quarters were supplied by pipelines. In 2022, Russia also exported 4.8 million tons of gasoline.
Due to the EU’s ban on the import of Russian fuel, Moscow has redirected exports of diesel and other fuels to Brazil, Turkey, several countries in North and West Africa, as well as the Persian Gulf countries in the Middle East.
We will remind:
Russian government entered temporary restrictions on the export of automobile gasoline and diesel fuel to stabilize fuel prices in the domestic market.
