Solidarity actions with Israel are taking place in the world

Solidarity actions with Israel are taking place around the world after the October 7 attack on the country by the radical Islamist group Hamas from the Gaza Strip. More than 700 people were victims of the attack, thousands were wounded, and about a hundred people were taken hostage.

In Berlin, the Brandenburg Gate was lit up in the color of the Israeli flag, and in Tbilisi – the TV tower. Earlier, the speaker of the Georgian parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, called the aggression against Israel unjustified, cruel and inhumane.

In Sofia, the image of the Israeli flag was projected onto the facade of the Bulgarian parliament.

Residents of Iran, opponents of radical Islamists, express their support for Israel on Twitter. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel thanked the Iranians for their support.

A statement in support of Israel was signed by 300 members of the British Parliament.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi expressed support for Israel. Ukrainian servicemen recorded a video with Hebrew subtitles in support of Israeli soldiers. Images of Israeli flags were displayed on advertising banners on the streets of Kyiv and Kharkiv.

In Azerbaijan, people brought Israeli flags, flowers, candles and soft toys to the Israeli embassy in Baku. People said that there were no calls to honor the memory of the dead Israelis on social networks. The participants of the action came to the embassy building of their own free will, the Telegram channel AZfront reports.

The leadership of the Israeli diplomatic mission thanked the Azerbaijanis for their support.

In Moscow and other cities of Russia, local residents express solidarity with the Israelis against the backdrop of terrorist attacks. People carry flowers to the Israeli embassy in the Russian capital.

In St. Petersburg, many also wanted to bring flowers to the Israeli consulate, but the police forbade them, explaining that the Turkish company that owns the complex in which the consulate is located does not agree to this.

In Yekaterinburg, people bring flowers to the synagogue on Kuibysheva Street.

In the USA, the Holocaust Memorial Museum condemned the Hamas attack. A mass prayer for Israeli soldiers took place in Miami.

Meanwhile, pro-Palestinian activists held a rally in support of Hamas in New York. There was also an action in support of Israel. In Washington, supporters and opponents of jihadists staged a brawl.

In Canada, an action by Palestinian supporters took place in Montreal. At the same time, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau condemned the actions of Hamas and supported the Israeli people.

The actions of Hamas against Israel were supported by the residents of Baghdad. In the capital of Iraq, the building of one of the shopping centers was illuminated in the colors of the Palestinian flag “as a sign of support for the Arab brothers.”

Demonstrations in support of Palestinian autonomy were held in Turkey, Iran, Jordan, and Morocco

The building of the National Opera House in Damascus is painted in the colors of the Palestinian flag. The Azadi tower, the main symbol of Tehran in the western part of the city, and the towers in the capital of Libya were illuminated in the same colors.

A solidarity march with Israel is scheduled for October 9 in Paris. It will start at Victor Hugo Square and end near the Eiffel Tower. It will light up with the colors of the Israeli flag.

On October 10, a rally against terrorism in solidarity with Israel and the Israeli people will be held in Lyon, in the south of France.
