The Russian Federation could hand over captured Western weapons to Hamas

The main intelligence agency of Ukraine claims that weapons produced by the USA and Western countries, which, according to a number of reports, are used by armed units of the Palestinian radical group Hamas in battles against Israel in recent days, were handed over to Hamas by Russia.
The GUR statement claims that this weapon was captured by Russian troops during the battles in Ukraine, and its transfer to Hamas is a “large-scale provocation against Ukraine.” “The next step, according to the plan of the Russians, should be fake accusations of the Ukrainian military in the alleged sale of Western weapons to terrorists on a regular basis,” – says the GUR message.
The GUR statement did not say what kind of weapon we are talking about. Resources close to Hamas published a video of the group’s fighters with weapons similar to American M4 assault rifles.
The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, wrote in his characteristic style in a telegram after the GUR’s announcement that the weapons given to Ukraine by Western countries “are actively used in Israel.” He did not write and did not provide evidence as to who is being applied.
Hamas is primarily supplied with weapons by Iran and various pro-Iranian groups that support it. The possible facts of the delivery of group weapons from Russia were not previously reported. In the USA and the European Union, the group is included in the terrorist list, which excludes the possibility of any weapons being supplied to it from these countries.
A number of American politicians, mainly supporters of Donald Trump, opponents of assistance to Ukraine, suggested that the weapons supplied to Ukraine earlier could have fallen into the hands of Hamas. The US administration previously stated that there is no evidence that the weapons supplied to Ukraine ended up outside the country (except for those captured by the Russians in the battles).
Europol previously reported on the alleged facts of the sale of weapons from Ukraine on the “black market” of European Union countries and the increased risk that they will fall into the hands of organized criminal groups or terrorists. At the same time, the organization emphasized that it has no data that this actually happened.
