The court reinstated Navalny’s supporters fired from the Moscow metro

Not me, 37 employees of the Moscow metro, who were fired after the publication in 2021 of a list of Alexei Navalny’s supporters in open access, were reinstated in court. Nikolay Guestev, the head of the trade union of workers of the Moscow Metro, told “Agentstvo” about this publication.

The court recognized that all the employees who appealed to the court were dismissed either by agreement of the parties under pressure from the management, or due to fabricated absenteeism. According to Gostev, everyone who decided to sue the metro to the end was able to return to work. Compensation for dismissal amounts to several million rubles.

The “Agency” notes that a total of 60 people applied to the trade union. 42 decided to go to court. Five of them found a new job in the process and decided not to continue the litigation after losing the court of first instance.

Guest also said that the first dismissed employee managed to return to work two months after the dismissal. He still works. The last subway worker who won the court case sought recovery for more than two years.

• It became known in May 2021 that the Moscow Metro fired several dozen people suspected of supporting Navalny. The names of the remaining works were allegedly taken from the stolen database of the Svobodu Navalny website.
• In March 2021, associates of Navalny, who is in the colony, announced a rally for his release. Potential participants were asked to register on the site. It was supposed to tell about the time and place of the action only after the data of 500 thousand participants had been collected on the site.
• In mid-April 2021, the website database was compromised. The participants who registered in it began to receive letters with threats to tell their employers about their political position. Navalny’s associate Ivan Zhdanov then stated that there was no threat to the people who got into the base, this was immediately disputed by computer security specialists.
• One of the former employees of FBK was blamed for the base leak. Investigations by the TV channel Nastoyashe Vremya and the publication Medusa revealed that the traces of the leak lead to the Administration of the President of Russia.
