The examination did not find any discrediting of the army in the words of Deputy Pirogov

Linguistic examination did not reveal the discrediting of the Russian army in the words of Novosibirsk city council deputy Helga Pirogovaya, because of which a criminal case was initiated against her. The investigator sent the materials for re-examination, the activist noted on her Facebook.

As part of the criminal case, two examinations were conducted: tweets and an interview with the “Dozhd” TV channel. In both cases, discrediting of the army was not found. Pirogov published a photo of the documents in her account.

“For any sane person, the results are obvious, no discrediting was found,” Pirogov wrote in her post. At the same time, she reminded that as part of the investigation of the case, the police came several times to search her relatives, including her husband’s parents.

• On July 15, 2022, Pirogov commented on a note about the funerals of volunteers who signed short-term contracts with the Ministry of Defense and died in Ukraine. “It’s simply indescribable, I want to revive them all, give them a lot of things, and let them go to their graves instead. She later deleted the tweet, but its screenshot went viral on many Telegram channels.
• On the night of July 22, 2022, the police detained Pirogov after a charity auction in support of Novosibirsk activists who were ordered to pay compensation to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for participating in protests in January 2021. Then they drew up an administrative protocol on her allegedly discrediting the Russian army. After the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, declared that he was personally supervising the investigation against Pirogov, a criminal case was opened against her.
• The denunciation of Pirogov to the Investigative Committee was written by the deputy chairman of the Novosibirsk legislative assembly Andrey Panfyorov (“United Russia”), as well as several regional deputies from the LDPR and the city council of Novosibirsk, who are associated with State Duma deputy Dmitry Savelyev.
• Pirogov left abroad, and on August 4, the Ministry of Internal Affairs declared her a federal wanted person. On August 16, law enforcement officers searched relatives of the deputy.
