The GUR of Ukraine reports an attack on the Russian police in Energodar

The main intelligence agency of Ukraine claims that in the morning of August 18, an explosion occurred at a meeting of the city’s Russian police leaders in Energodare, Zaporozhye region, occupied by Russian troops, and several high-ranking officers were wounded as a result.
According to the video published by the department, the attack on the police building was carried out by a drone.
It is confirmed that among the wounded as a result of the explosion is Colonel Pavel Chesanov, appointed by Russia as the head of the city police, who arrived from Chuvashia, as well as his deputy and a number of other leaders. It is confirmed that the wounded were taken to Melitopol by emergency vehicles. It is also claimed that there was a major fire in the building.
The mayor of occupied Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, also reported on a powerful explosion in Energodar, published a photo of the damaged building.
Some Russian Telegram channels confirmed the fact of the attack, while reporting that “there were no casualties.” Officially, the Russian side did not comment on the message.
Energodar was occupied by Russian troops in March 2022. Zaporizhia NPP is located in the city.
