The Ministry of Defense of Russia announced the destruction on the night of January 11 of four drones launched from the territory of Ukraine over three Russian regions – Rostov, Tula and Kaluga regions.

According to the Russian military department, the drones were “intercepted” and “destroyed”.

The messages of the regional authorities, however, indicate that at least some of the drones still caused damage. On the outskirts of Kaluga, a drone exploded over the technical structure of a pumping station, said the governor of the Kaluga region, Vladyslav Shapsha. The building was damaged by the explosion.

A building in the Voronezh region was also damaged, Governor Alexander Gusev reported on the drone attack (it is not mentioned in the report of the Ministry of Defense). According to him, the drone crashed through the roof of a non-residential building in one of the municipalities. There are no other details.

According to the governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, two drones were shot down in the Kamensky district, while “the consequences on the ground are being clarified.”

No casualties have been reported in any of the cases.

The authorities of the bordering Ukraine, and sometimes other regions of Russia, report requests for drone strikes almost every day. The Ukrainian military does not comment on the alleged launches of drones over Russian territory. Russia strikes Ukraine almost daily with the use of Shahed-type drones.
