The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia declared a wanted woman activist Daria Serenko

The Ministry of Internal Affairs declared the writer and feminist activist Daria Serenko wanted. “Mediazon” drew attention to the wanted card.

One of the Omsk police departments announced a search “under the Criminal Code”. Serenko is registered in this city. It is not reported under which article the activist is being sought. Previously, there was no information about criminal cases against Serenko.

“The search… It’s still someone who will find someone. It’s hard to find me, easy to lose and impossible to forget,” the activist wrote.

In 2023, three protocols were drawn up against Daria Serenko on the article about “foreign agents” due to the lack of special marking in Telegram publications.

Recently, she announced her nomination to the Moscow City Duma in the “foreign agents” team.

Serenko is one of the coordinators of the Feminist Anti-War Resistance (FAS), which opposes Russia’s war with Ukraine.

Two weeks before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Serenko was detained by the authorities on charges of spreading “extremist” messages. After that, she emigrated to Georgia.

In 2023, the Israeli publishing house “Babel” published Serenko’s book “I want the ashes of my house”, which was included in the long list of the “Enlightener” award. She started writing this book in the Moscow special reception in February 2022, and finished it in exile.

• Darya Serenko is a public activist, feminist, activist, poet and artist. One of the authors of the “Silent picket” action in the Moscow metro, she, together with other civil activists, organized the women’s “Chain of Solidarity and Love” as a sign of support for Yulia Navalny. Serenko has repeatedly become the object of harassment: her personal data were published in the Telegram channel “Men’s State” of misogynistic blogger Vladyslav Pozdniakov. Serenko then received more than 600 threats and insults.
