“Officially: on February 3, an extraordinary XXXIX General Assembly of the NOC of Ukraine will be held. (…) The main item on the agenda is to hold consultations with national sports federations and subjects of the Olympic movement regarding a possible boycott of the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 in the event that Russian and Belarusian athletes are allowed to return to international sports arenas until the end of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. the message says.
The decision to hold the Extraordinary XXIX General Assembly of the NOC of Ukraine was made by the Executive Committee of the NOC of Ukraine in connection with the publication by the IOC of the statement “On solidarity with Ukraine, sanctions against Russia and Belarus, and the status of athletes from these countries”, which allows, under certain conditions, the return of athletes from the Russian Federation and the Russian Federation to international competitions, in particular, the 2024 Olympics.
