The Russian Orthodox Church has released a children’s book “setting up for military everyday life”

On the website of the publishing house of the Moscow Patriarchate, in the “children’s books” section, an edition called “Live – Family Serves” appeared, consisting of proverbs, quotes and statements about war, service in the army and “enemies of Russia”.
In the annotation to the book, the price of which is 600 rubles, it is said, in particular, that the sentences included in it “set the mood for military life and strengthen the will to victory” and teach “how to fight back from outrage at injustice.”
In the publication itself, among other things, it is said that it is necessary to be “submissive to all human authority”, that war is a “God-pleasing” business, and that “one should not be afraid to die in war, since those who put their lives on the battlefield will receive forgiveness of sins.”
It is noted that the chief editor of the book is Bishop Nikolay of Balashikhinsky and Orekhovo-Zuyevsky, who in 2008 became the winner of the FSB award of Russia for the book about “saints, patrons of special forces”.
The head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, and many high-ranking representatives of the church actually supported the war in Ukraine, repeatedly declaring that they understood the motives of the Russian authorities, criticizing the West and the authorities of Ukraine. In churches, priests are prescribed to read the prayer “O Holy Russia”, which speaks of “victory”.
