The Security Service of Ukraine has collected the evidence base on the sanctioned general director of the Russian airline “223 Flight Squadron” of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Yury Velyoklad.

According to the intelligence service, the official provided planes to transfer Russian fighters and weapons from the Middle East and Africa to the war in Ukraine.
It was he who organized the transportation of Shahed-type kamikaze drones from Iran to the Ukrainian border, with which the aggressor attacked Sumy on July 3 of this year, the SBU notes.
Then the enemy struck two multi-story residential buildings and the SBU building. As a result of the Russian attack, there were victims among the civilian population.
“It was established that the transportation of Iranian drones to the territory of the Russian Federation was carried out on board the Il-76 military transport aircraft from the flight fleet of the Velikoklada airline company.
In addition, at the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, the official provided planes to transfer units of the Russian private military company “Wagner” from Africa to the war in Ukraine.
In the future, the militants were transported to the Bakhmut district to storm the Ukrainian city.
To carry out the flights, the leadership of the militants concluded agreements with the Velikoklada airline company and transferred money for the use of aircraft to its accounts.
It is documented that the “Wagners” spent 56 million Russian rubles on 8 international flights.
Representatives of the Russian PMC used controlled commercial structures outside the Russian Federation to mask contacts with the flight squad of the person involved.
It is reported that Velikokladu has been declared a suspect.
Since the perpetrator is on the territory of the Russian Federation, comprehensive measures are underway to bring him to justice for crimes against our state, the special service notes.
