The wife of a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko owns an apartment in Moscow. Journalists of the “Schemes” project of the Ukrainian service of Radio Liberty found out that the apartment with an area of 220 square meters is located in an elite area in the center of the Russian capital.

The official cadastral value of this apartment, which is located in Zachatevsky Lane, is 192 million rubles (about 2.1 million dollars). According to advertisements for the sale of apartments in this building, the price per square meter reaches more than a million rubles.

Yury Boyko indicated in the declaration that the value of this property is only 2 million 726 thousand hryvnias (about 73.2 thousand dollars). As the journalists note, the declaration form assumes that these data can be entered based on the date of purchase of the property – the Boyko family purchased an apartment in Moscow in 2006, two months after his appointment as Minister of Fuel and Energy in Viktor Yanukovych’s government.

According to an extract from the state register of Russian real estate, Vera Boyko still owns this property. The deputy did not answer journalists’ questions.

Earlier, with reference to Boyko’s declaration, the mass media wrote that his wife kept rubles and gold in one of the Russian banks for a total of more than 7.6 million rubles.

  • Yury Boyko was elected to the Ukrainian parliament in 2019 from the pro-Russian party “Opposition Platform – For Life”, whose activities were banned in 2022. Now he is the chairman of the deputy group “Platform for life and peace”.
