It is reported that teams from five countries took part in the competition: Slovenia, Italy, Germany, Poland and Ukraine. The Ukrainian national team was represented by 10 sportswomen.
Ukrainian women became the vice-champions of the tournament: Anastasia Vladychynskaya, Karolina Dimytryshina, Yaroslava Lakatosh, Lyudmila Lozko, Adriana Dolyna, Elizaveta Chuga, Lyudmila Sheremet, Anastasia Filon, Alena Goncharova, and Alexandra Podlesnaya.
Chinese grandmaster Ding Lizhen became the world chess champion.
