Two people died, one was injured as a result of shelling in the Belgorod region on Friday. This was reported by the regional governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov. According to him, the village of Rozhestvenka in the Graivoronsk district was attacked by three kamikaze drones.
In addition, on Friday, drones attacked the village of Maslova Prystan in the Shebekinsky district, Gladkov said. Air defense forces shot down several drones in the Belgorod and Krasnoyaruzhsky districts. There are no victims there.
The Ministry of Defense of Russia reported that on the night of March 8, air defenses shot down more than 10 drones over the territory of Belgorod and Volgograd regions. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, in turn, reported that on the same night Russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine using 37 Shahed type drones, one S-300 air defense missile and two Kh-59 air missiles. 33 drones were shot down in the Kirovohrad, Odesa, Kherson, Nikolaev and Kharkiv regions.
