In St. Petersburg, two local residents have been charged with justifying terrorism, this was reported by “Fontanka” without reference to the source and “Bumaga” with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to Bumagy, one of the detainees is a 59-year-old resident of the Vyborg district named Igor. He was detained on December 7 due to comments on social networks, which, according to the investigation, contained “justification and propaganda of terrorism.” The Ministry of Internal Affairs did not say what the essence of these publications was.

“Fontanka” writes that Igor is a native of Ukraine who moved to St. Petersburg in his youth. Now he is in a detention center.

Telegram channels “Mash na Moike” and “Operativnye svodki” reported about the detention of another accused. According to their data, a 42-year-old resident of St. Petersburg named Maxim was detained. He is an employee of a radio factory. He is accused of “calling for the division of Russia on the Internet, rejoicing over the death of our soldiers in the SVO zone and terrorist attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.” The Ministry of Internal Affairs did not confirm the information about the detention of the second resident.
