Two Ukrainian films won awards at the 73rd annual Berlin International Film Festival. This is reported by the State Cinema of Ukraine. The film also received 2,500 euros from the German children’s charity Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk. The film tells about the war through the eyes of Ukrainian women and children who, due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, were forced to find shelter in Germany. “We were moved by the confident approach of the film. It powerfully awakens a sense of place and history, as it offers an important snapshot of the current present,” the film festival said.
