Ukraine has launched a register of assets of Russian oligarchs

Analytical center StateWatch and online service YouControl presented the first register of assets of Russian oligarchs on the territory of Ukraine. It allows you to track the status of property and business of the aggressor country in the process of confiscation and systematize the available data. This is stated in the StateWatch press release.

What is known about the register
The register includes data on 53 oligarchs from the rating of the “200 richest businessmen” of Russian Forbes for 2021, as well as a number of other Russians who are under Ukrainian sanctions and are recognized as beneficiaries of business in Ukraine.
The register also contains files on 112 Ukrainian companies with a total value of corporate rights of UAH 6 billion. In particular, out of 12 companies, state income has already been recovered due to administrative lawsuits in the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, and the corporate rights of 21 assets have been arrested as part of various criminal proceedings.
The register did not include persons from the list of the richest Russians who are not under the sanctions of Ukraine, who have no ties to Ukrainian assets.
The statuses of companies in the register are divided into arrested (as part of criminal proceedings) and confiscated (as part of the VAKS decision).
As StateWatch explained, the confiscation of assets under the Law “On Sanctions” in Ukraine began in September 2022. However, assets have been confiscated from only a few Russians, so this register can help track the effectiveness of the confiscation process.
The register allows you to go to the company’s file in the analytical service YouControl. Immediately after registration, it is possible to check with whom the legal entity is connected and in what way, whether it appeared in court cases, whether it participated in tenders, and the basic registration data for the EGR.
