Ukraine received ten MiG-29 fighters from Poland

The Polish military handed over ten MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine, the minister said at a briefing on Monday defense of Poland Mariusz Blaszczak

Earlier, in early April, Polish President Andrzej Duda said that his country had delivered eight MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine, and in the middle of the month, the German government authorized the transfer of the same fighters to Kyiv, but their number was not specified.

Another country that transferred the Soviet-made MiG-29 to Ukraine is Slovakia. She placed 13 fighters.

• A counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the aim of deoccupying Ukrainian territories previously occupied by Russia is expected, according to Kyiv’s statements, in the near future – in the late spring-early summer. For this, the authorities of Ukraine requested armored vehicles, ammunition, including missiles with a range of more than 150 kilometers, and F-16 aircraft from the Western allies. Missiles and aircraft of the Ukrainian military, according to official statements, were never received. At the same time, according to British intelligence, the Russian army has equipped a record number of fortifications in modern history in territories that can be attacked by the Armed Forces. Last Sunday, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov warned that “expectations of a counteroffensive are overstated.” ​The head of the military department explained that many people in the world are “waiting for something grand”, and this can lead them to “emotional disappointment”.
