Ukrzaliznytsia will receive $25 million from the World Bank to repair critical infrastructure

Ukrzaliznytsia received $25 million in financing from the World Bank for the repair of critical infrastructure and an increase in cargo transportation capacity allocated through the United Nations’ UNOPS division. This was reported by the organization’s press service.

“UNOPS has concluded an agreement for $25 million with Ukrzaliznytsia for the procurement of repairs to critical railway infrastructure and increasing the capacity of cargo transportation with the funds of the World Bank. One more step for the restoration of Ukraine,” says the message.

The director of the UNOPS office in Ukraine, Tim Lardner, noted that he is looking forward to the opportunity to work as part of UNOPS to support Ukrzaliznytsa.

UNOPS is a division of the United Nations and the organization’s main tool in the field of procurement and contract management in civil construction and infrastructure development projects.
