The children have not seen their mother since March 2022, reports Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets. According to him, Renat and Varvara, together with their grandfather, were in Russian captivity in the temporarily occupied territory. On it, Renata and Varvara are brought in an ambulance, from where the children shout: “Mom, mom”. The boy tells his mother that he is already 6 years old. The children’s mother was moved to tears by the long-awaited meeting. “She and her husband have long been waiting for the return of their children, whom Russia illegally deported in an attempt to hide the abduction,” said Andriy Yermak, head of the President’s Office.
