The explanatory note states that foreigners must pass an exam to obtain citizenship. Those who have already received it must pass an exam within 2 years, otherwise their citizenship will be revoked. We will remind you that Article 9 of the Law on Citizenship of Ukraine contained the following conditions for acceptance: recognition and observance of the Constitution of Ukraine and the laws of Ukraine; submission of a declaration on the absence of foreign citizenship or an obligation to terminate foreign citizenship (for foreigners); continuous residence on legal grounds in the territory of Ukraine during the last 5 years. For certain persons, the minimum term was 2 years; obtaining an immigration permit; proficiency in the state language in accordance with the level established by the legislation of Ukraine.
