Sometimes parents don’t know if their child is vaccinated against measles. Sometimes they have doubts. After the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, many medical documents were lost. But how to check if your child is vaccinated against this disease? This was reported in the Ministry of Health. The first step is to contact your family doctor or pediatrician. You need to check with your doctor or pediatrician whether there is a record of vaccination in the medical records. It can be contained in the following documents: “History of child development” (form No. 112/о); “Card of preventive vaccinations” (form No. 063/о); “Immunization card” (form No. 063-1/o); “Medical card of an outpatient” (form No. 025/o). You can check the child using an analysis for the presence of antibodies to measles – immunoglobulin G to the pathogen. If there are antibodies, then the child is protected against measles. Vaccination is not required. The presence of antibodies can be both a result of vaccination and a result of a transferred disease. The third step is to start vaccination from the beginning If there are no records in the documents or in the EOH about vaccination, there are no antibodies to measles, or it is impossible to conduct an analysis to determine them, it is necessary to start vaccination from the beginning. To do this, contact the doctor to make an individual vaccination schedule for the child. Administering additional doses of the vaccine is dangerous for health.
