The Animal DzhaZ group reported that their songs do not contain “words against SVO”

[ad_1]

The Telegram channel of the TV channel “360” published a video in which the musicians of the Animal Jazz group Alexander Krasovytskyi and Alexander Zarankin say that they respect the leadership of Russia and that there are no anti-Russian slogans in their songs. On November 9, in St. Petersburg, riot police officers disrupted the band’s concert. The media reported that Krasovitsky’s anti-war statements could be the cause.

“At our concerts and in our songs, there is not a single word against the SVO (special military operation – the official definition of Russia’s war against Ukraine – approx. RS), not a single word in support of Ukraine. We respect the leadership of our country and, of course, we are patriots of Russia,” said the group’s vocalist Alexander Krasovytskyi.

A similar message was made by the band’s keyboardist Alexander Zarankin. He said that “no anti-government, anti-Russian or pro-Ukrainian slogans” were planned at the concert scheduled for November 9 in St. Petersburg.

It is not known where and when the video recordings were made.

In the evening of November 9, riot police and FSB officers came to the “Cosmonaut” club in St. Petersburg, where a Zero People concert (a project by Animal DzhaZ musicians) was planned. According to 78.ru, the reason for the arrival of the security forces was the mourning of the “Call of the People” organization, which needed to conduct an investigation against Alexander Krasovytsky because of his allegedly anti-Russian statements.

A criminal case was initiated against one of the club’s visitors under the article on violence against a representative of the authorities. A 50-year-old Muscovite pushed a riot police officer, hit him on the helmet with her hand and kicked him.

  • According to the media, Animal DzhaZ is on the unofficial list of groups banned in Russia – because the team did not support the war against Ukraine. This year, several of their concerts were canceled, and the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Culture received an appeal from the activists of the “Call of the People” movement demanding to check the musicians for the possibility of recognizing them as “foreign agents”.
