The Hubble Space Telescope photographed the galaxy NGC 1385, which is located in the constellation Pygmy at a distance of 30 million light years from Earth.

This is reported in ESA (European Space Agency).

NGC 1385 is a barred spiral galaxy. The diameter of its disk is about 70 thousand light years.

Hubble has already captured this galaxy before, but this time it used different filters. The new image has a lot more rose-red and amber hues, while the previous one was dominated by cool blues.

According to ESA, “Hubble” is equipped with a number of filters. This is physical equipment that allows only specific wavelengths of light to pass through the telescope while collecting data.

“This results in a loss of light, but means that astronomers can probe very peculiar parts of the electromagnetic spectrum. This is very useful for many reasons. For example, physical processes in certain elements emit light at specific wavelengths, and filters can be optimized for those wavelengths “, – explained in ESA.

We will remind, earlier the Webb telescope showed a colorful cluster of galaxies “Christmas tree”.
