The police of the Lviv region served suspicions on four students of the school who beat the first-year students

Four students of the school, who organized a “consecration” to freshmen with beatings, were informed of the suspicion.

Investigators found that boys aged 17 and 18 and two 19-year-olds took turns beating four freshmen in the head and chest. At the same time, senior students used a boxing glove, the police of the Lviv region reports.

“In addition, the offenders humiliated their victims, mocked them and filmed their actions on video, which was later posted on the Internet, where it was discovered by law enforcement officers during monitoring.”– say the law enforcement officers.

Extras received suspicions under Part 2 of Art. 296 (“Hooliganism”) of the Criminal Code.

Adolescents are threatened with restriction of liberty for a term of up to five years, or deprivation of liberty for a term of up to four years.

As a reminder, the incident occurred on October 9, 2023 at around 11 p.m. in the dormitory of the Chervonensky Higher Vocational School, located in the village of Chervone, Zolochiv District.

The beating was public – it was seen by other students, and a video recording of such a “dedication” appeared on social networks.

In a few days, the initiators of the beating were expelled from the school and evicted from the dormitory.

After this incident, the Department of Education and Science of the Lviv Oblast promised to take measures to combat bullying in educational institutions.
